The philosophy of our jeep tour is to offer and show our visitors the mountains of the Macheras region, on the eastern side of the Troodos mountain range, the nature, the villages and the Cypriot hospitality, without making the visitor tired or bored as they would probably become on a conventional bus tour. We will apply our senses, feelings, tastes and smells together as a group to get a feeling of the land and it‘s people, on such a jeep tour. Our tour or expedition can be taken by any adult, or child, because it has been planned in such a way, so as to accommodate a wide range of ages. It’s interesting for all because we have fun, and learn, at the same time.
Excellent service and a fantastic day out learning about the culture, people, and history of the island is what we aim at, all the time. The fact that we do not take more than 9 (nine) people at a time enables your driver/guide to focus on you alone, giving you the utmost attention.

Our first main stop will be the village of Luthrodontas for coffee, tea, and getting to know some of the locals at the “KAFENION” meaning the coffee house. Backgammon as you will see is a pass time for many elder Cypriots. The small church of Ayios Onoufrios is our next stop. It is a church or chapel from the 14th century in the middle of the mountains. Further on we visit the small lake for photos or a splash in the water for some and then on to the village of Fikardou which is a cultural site under the protection of UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Social, and Cultural Organization), because of its unique beauty and traditional Cypriot architecture. After a walk through the village which only takes about 15 min (fifteen) minutes, lunch is available in the local tavern overlooking the whole village, where you can try out locally made dishes, usually known as “MEZE” with the locally made wine and traditional Cypriot aperitif known as “ZIVANIA”. There are non-alcoholic drinks, vegetarian dishes also available. We continue after lunch driving to the village of Lefkara known for its traditional handicraft work of beautiful hand made lace and silverware. Wine tasting is available for those wishing to taste and maybe buy some as gift for someone or themselves at the tavern of Fikardou. Along the way photo stops will be made for our keen photographers.
